What is Contact Management?
Use Contact Management to manage external communication with your customers and prospective customers or internal communication with staff. For example, you might create memos to remind yourself (or staff) to call customers and notify them of upcoming sales, that a payment was promised but not received, or to follow-up with a potential customer. By setting up staff members as customers, you can maintain a calendar of activities, such as calling the paper regarding an ad, or reminding staff about meetings and birthdays. Your staff will be better organized by making a habit of checking contact management first thing in the morning and throughout the day.
Note: Action groups and actions must be established in Customer Maintenance before using Contact Management for the first time.
